Private Tour Operator in Jimbaran

Jimbaran is a wide, curving bay on the neck of the Bukit peninsula, ten minutes south of the airport, and it is known above all for one thing: eating grilled seafood at a table on the sand as the sun goes down. The bay itself is sheltered and shallow with no serious surf, which makes it one of the better swimming beaches in southern Bali and a sensible base for families.

Jimbaran's position is its practical advantage. It sits at the top of the Bukit peninsula, which puts Uluwatu, Padang Padang and Bingin within 20 to 30 minutes — far closer than from Seminyak or Canggu — while still being ten minutes from the airport and about half an hour from Kuta.

That makes it the most efficient base on the island for anyone whose priorities are the southern cliffs and the sunset temple. The Uluwatu Kecak fire dance starts around 6pm and sells out in peak season; from Jimbaran you can leave late afternoon and still get a seat.

Early risers should go to the fish market at the northern end of the bay around dawn, when the boats land and the catch is auctioned. It is the most interesting hour in Jimbaran and almost nobody staying here sees it.

Tours we run from here

From Jimbaran we run private days with a car, driver and English-speaking guide — the Uluwatu temple and Kecak dance at sunset, the Bukit cliff beaches, and full-day Ubud circuits taking in Tegallalang and Tirta Empul. Mount Batur sunrise treks pick up here for the 2am departure, and Nusa Penida day trips run via Sanur harbour. Airport transfers take about ten minutes.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Jimbaran from the airport?

About ten minutes by road, which makes it convenient for a first or last night.

Can you swim at Jimbaran beach?

Yes — the bay is sheltered and shallow with no serious surf, which is unusual on Bali's west-facing coast.

How far is Uluwatu from Jimbaran?

Roughly 20 to 30 minutes, considerably closer than from Seminyak or Canggu, which makes Jimbaran a good base for the Kecak dance.

How much does the seafood cost?

It is priced by weight and varies by species — always agree the price per kilogram before the fish goes on the grill.

How do I book?

Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and what you would like to see, and we will put an itinerary and a quote together.
